Resolution Declaring October 5 or World Teachers' Day and Every Year Thereafter as Non-Working Day for All Teachers in Public and Private Sectors

House Resolution No. 152 (ARENAS, ROSE MARIE "BABY" J., Rep. Pangasinan, 3rd District)

WHEREAS, in recognition of the invaluable contributions and strategic role of Filipino teachers in both public and private sector in nation-building, Presidential Proclamation 242 declared October as National Teachers' Month;

WHEREAS, in order to honor the everyday heroism and great sacrifices of teachers around the world, the United Nations declared October 5 of every year as Worl Teachers Day;

If this resolution is adopted and approved, then all teachers may enjoy October 5 of every year as a non-working day as appreciation and recognition for their hard work and sacrifices.
