More boys are dropping out of school and failing

The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) recently had the result of their study entitled “Boys Are Still Left Behind in Basic Education”. The result shows that there are more boys dropping out of school or obtaining failing grades compared to girls.

They also found out that there is a significant number of boys aged 12-15 who haven't reached the secondary or higher level of education compared to girls.

With these results, the Department of Education is therefore urged to come up with useful interventions that would lessen the figures of drop-outs and failed students.
