DepEd clarifies that there is class and work on Oct. 31

DepEd Usec. Sevilla clarifies on her earlier post on social that October 31, 2019 is not a holiday along with Nov 13-15 and 16-17 which the public claims that are no classes. This is after a certain infographic went viral regarding the suspension of classes due to the ASEAN Summit held in 2017. Usec. pointed out that the infographic was made last 2017 and therefore not valid for this year.

She also clarifies, in the comment section of her post, that as per DepEd Calendar, October 31, 2019 is not tagged as a holiday so technically there are classes and work on the said date.

Except for those areas, schools, and colleges that have made an early declaration of "NO CLASSES" from October 31 to November 2.

However, in observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, let us all wait if the office of the President will issue a declaration for the said date.

Below is the official statement/facebook post of DepEd Usec. Sevilla.
