Clarification on the Release of PBB 2018 to DepEd Employees

A recent post regarding the PBB 2018 has gone viral since many of the DepEd employees were clamoring on its release. In the said post, it is not clear whether the PBB 2018 would be released on Monday or just another update regarding it. Nevertheless, it is not yet officially announced by any DepEd authority as to when is the expected date of its release.

As of now, the update from DepEd Usec. Annalyn M. Sevilla remains the latest.

Update from Usec. Sevilla dated February 2, 2020:

“The evaluation of eligibility for PBB for DepEd is still ongoing. So far, so good, because we haven’t received an official letter from DBM saying we are not eligible,” Sevilla said.

The Department of Education was once tagged as not eligible to receive the PBB way back in 2017. However, teachers were exempted so they were able to receive it while other positions did not.

“For now, we have submitted the requirements and we are waiting for the announcement – official letter – on eligibility,” Sevilla said. “We really do hope [that DepEd is eligible] because we made sure that 2017 was a lesson learned and in 2018, hopefully, we are eligible.” She added.
